How can I be sure that the ice I serve is sanitary, pure and safe?
Carefree Ice installs a water filter with every lease; the water filter removes tastes, odors, particulates and chemicals from your local water supply to provide sanitary, pure ice…safer ice. As part of your lease program, Carefree Ice will schedule and handle preventive maintenance and water filter changes. And as a routine part of our bi-annual preventive maintenance visits we will clean and sanitize your ice machine. If your environmental conditions require more frequent cleanings, for an additional charge, we will arrange to clean your machine more frequently to meet the needs of your business.
Can I lease more than one icemaker?
Of course! For example, you may want to have one type of ice in the cocktail lounge and a different type of ice for general foodservice.
Who will handle water filter changes, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of the icemaker?
As part of your lease program, Carefree Ice will schedule and handle preventive maintenance and water filter changes. What happens to my existing icemaker?
When your new icemaker is installed, the technicians from Carefree Ice can remove and dispose of your old icemaker for a nominal fee.
Do you offer a guaranteed ice supply if my icemaker quits making ice?
Yes!! That is part of the Carefree Ice “no hassles” guarantee! Simply call Carefree Ice to inform us that your icemaker needs service. We will ask a couple of easy questions to insure that the icemaker is having mechanical issues (is the water turned on? Is the power turned on?). We will arrange for our service technicians to repair the icemaker and in the meantime, Carefree Ice will deliver ice to you at no charge through one of our partners.
Will my monthly lease payment change over time?
No, it will stay the same great price so you will have a predicable monthly expense which can help you budget effectively.
What kind of lease is the Carefree Ice lease?
Normally it is called an operating lease. Carefree Ice retains ownership of the icemaker and for your business the equipment is considered a monthly operating expense.
How do I pay my monthly lease payment?
Carefree Ice will set up an automatic debit authorization (ACH) from your bank account. Initially, you will be charged your first month’s partial lease payment, based on your installation date, plus any amount due- based upon the lease program that you decide is best for your business. Then your account will be debited on the first of every month thereafter through the term of your lease.
Does the icemaker have to be insured?
Yes, we require that you insure the leased icemaker. If you do not, fees may be added to your monthly payment to cover insurance.
